Hi
Can anyone recommend any Intranet that have been created in SharePoint
that show excellence and can be showcased to external organisations?
Our Human Resources team are going through the process of re-organising
their information management and would like to see some examples of
SharePoint.
Also of benefit would be any SharePoint gurus that could showcase the
same.

We use SharePoint for our intranet (full ECM, web content, document & records
management, collaboration). We are in the midst of a long move from the old
platforms to MOSS, one of the things we haven't brought across yet is the home
page but we are not far off with this.
A visit could be tricky with the Telecom/Vodafone thing but I'm sure we could
work it out, also we are attending and speaking at the Wellington SharePoint
conference (http://www.sharepointconference.co.nz/ ) - which after attending
last year I would recommend to anyone using SharePoint.

Thank you Helen - good to know - I recall from the Annual Intranet Summit in
Wellington last year Telecom was doing big platform changes. Who was the
SharePoint expert you were/are working with. I understood he runs a SharePoint
collective in Auckland and Wellington?

I think Telecom uses Sharepoint and they did a presentation at the
Sharepoint conference last year with Microsoft.
I've been designing the IA for a large bank for their information management
system using SP. I've grown to know heaps about it as far as IA and why orgs
should use it - when, why, what needs to be considered for enterprise, etc.

We have been working with our in-house MOSS experts (internal team and Gen-I),
also initially directly with Microsoft and we have some Sysdoc people on our
implementation team. We have also developed a high level of MOSS knowledge
ourselves (the intranet team), as have our key users.

Lulu! You're pure gold, I'd just reading over your SP/IA presentation,
fantastic :)
One question, have you adapted your IA deliverables (e.g. site structure) to
more specifically reference SP functionality, or do you present that as a
requirement for a SP consultant to find the best way to deliver (or do you meet
somewhere in between).
I'm experimenting with creating deliverables that are more aligned with SP
(library types, workspaces etc) and would appreciate your perspective.

I think Telecom uses Sharepoint and they did a presentation at the
Sharepoint conference last year with Microsoft.
I've been designing the IA for a large bank for their information management
system using SP. I've grown to know heaps about it as far as IA and why orgs
should use it - when, why, what needs to be considered for enterprise, etc.
