Thanks everyone for your feedback,
its given me a good place to start off re: our Intranet Revamp, although I hope
you don't mind if I come back with more questions this year!
Also, when I said there were 3 people in my team, must correct myself and say
"3 people in my team, but I am the only one actually doing this re-vamp work!"
Next Question.
We've been approached by a team within the business who want to look at
displaying their products & services in a more uniform manner.
This is an ideal oppurtunity for us to address a very large issue with how
products & services are provided on the Intranet.
Right now ours is literally "all over the place" with really waffley content.
We'd like to give every product a standardised look and feel, with standardised
info being collected e.g. Who is Eligible for the Product, Fees & Charges,
Tools, How to Process etc.
For those of you who offer products and services to the public, how do you
list/classify this information for staff to reference?
If possible, seeing screenshots of a product page (with sensitive info blurred
out of course!) would rock.
How did you guys come up with the current structure?
Another problem I am faced with is that information is "owned" by various areas
of the business, so will need to arrange with them to have their
products/services transferred over to the new format (which will include heavy
content editing/creation.)
Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.
